Introduction to Financial Modeling

What is financial model?

Financial model is essentially a highly functional calculator that can be used for M&A, strategy analysis, international investment, etc.

Valuation model for corporate and asset valuation
LBO or Project Finance (PF) model to calculate risk and return of investment/projects
A tool to incorporate various factors into quantitative/logical decision making process
Serves as the common langue of global finance industry (Including Private Equities, Multi-national Corporations, International Investors)

Global top-tier financial institutions (Investment Banks, Private Equity, Hedge Fund, etc) at developed economies such as the U.S.A., U.K., Hong Kong and Singapore use financial models to execute various M&A, LBO and alternative investments. However, such critical financial modeling skills are not sufficiently transferred to finance professionals in developing countries. Main reason for such a large knowledge gap is due to the lack of proper education firms, and that is why the mission of Wall Street Training is to provide world-class practical finance training in the frontier regions. However, we do not merely copy the education of other financial modeling firms but actually significantly improved it by adding contents that are most needed in the frontier regions. For instance, we provide financial modeling education for infrastructure projects that private and public institutions can use. Our fundamental analyst development program is as highly qualified as global top-tier MBA program’s financial analysis courses.

Goal

Core class in which the globally standardized financial modeling skill is taught
Learn to build fully operating 3 statement model with DCF valuation and use the model with sensitivity analysis, operating scenarios, etc
